Brandon Provost from Texas-Pan American has been selected for StatSheet's Great West Player of the Week for February 25th. StatSheet's Great West Freshman of the Week is New Jersey Tech's Ky Howard. Provost put up 3 rebounds per game, 50% shooting, and 3 assists per game. The Texas-Pan American senior played well in a victory versus Chicago State and a loss to Texas-Arlington.

Provost contributed 16 points and 5 steals in 36 minutes in a 63-48 loss to Texas-Arlington. In the next game he led all scoring with 23 points and added 2 assists in a narrow 55-51 win over Chicago State.

This is the first StatSheet Great West Player of the Week award for Brandon Provost. However, he has come in second once. The runner-up this week is senior Ryan Woods from New Jersey Tech. Honorable mention goes to Odera Nweke, a sophomore from New Jersey Tech. The highest ranking player from Houston Baptist was Anthony Hill who finished seventh.

StatSheet Great West Freshman of the Week: New Jersey Tech's Ky Howard

Ky Howard played 25 minutes as a starter for New Jersey Tech. In an 84-64 waxing of New Orleans, Howard registered 8 rebounds and 7 assists.

Amazingly, Ky Howard has won the StatSheet Great West Freshman of the Week 5 times. Our own Caleb Crayton gets runner-up. Our own Dauson Womack takes honorable mention. Houston Baptist has won the StatSheet Great West Player of the Week award 4 times this season.
